^Lot 2408 WWII GERMAN VOLKSSTURM TUNIC & MEDICAL KIT.

This tunic is a deep sage green wool with a 4 button front and 4 flap pockets. The forest green collar has 2 black collar tabs; each having 2 pips and a caduceus. Above the left breast pocket is a sewn on 3 award ribbon bar. The left sleeve has a sewn on combination "DEUTSCHER VOLKSSTURM WEHRMACHT" and medical arm band. The left breast pocket has a General Assault badge of questionable age. Accompanying the tunic is a 7 1/2" x 14" x 4" metal first aid kit with a red cross in a circle on the lid with the word "Verbandkasten". The interior lid of the kit has an inventory with some instructions. The kit contains several metal, cloth and cardboard containers with extensive German writing on the exteriors. CONDITION: the tunic generally shows light wear with no notable or offensive moth damage. Surprisingly, the medical kit shows reasonably light wear with some oxidation and paint loss to the case.
